Water has always been a symbol of life, change, and continuity—perfectly reflecting the strength and adaptability of Native communities as we move forward. Like water, we are ever-flowing, capable of navigating obstacles, reshaping our paths, and sustaining future generations.

The Moon, Water and the Circle of Life

This image reminds us of the spiritual bond between our Grandmother Moon and our Sacred Water. These two life forces together, regulate time in the form of life-cycles, balance and renewal. The moonlight gaze brightens the darkness, defines seasons, and guides migration and navigation. Yellow represents the moon during women ceremonies held during the full moon. Female relatives gather to provide women's wisdom of the reproduction cycles and the sacredness of life through water. Water is a living spirit and women are her caretakers. The moon is a grandmother to water symbolizing birth, growth, renewal and transformation shaping Indigenous knowledge, ensuring that water is honored as a gift that must be protected for future generations.
