IamAnishinaabe

Weaving Tradition, Innovation, and Indigenous Excellence

IamAnishinaabe is a design house dedicated to empowering Native creatives by supporting economic opportunities in indigenous fashion design and building a strong Native fashion industry. Our mission through partnerships and collaborations is to uplift Native voices through the dynamic synergy of art, fashion,  presentation, and production deeply rooted in the rich cultural principles passed down through generations. We are committed to building a safe environment where Native creatives can thrive by showcasing their talent and design skills, cultivating confidence, and stepping into leadership roles within the creative industry.

Our work is featured in prestigious art galleries and event spaces catered to every genre and fashion style.

Supporting Indigenous Designers and Artists

Beyond the runway

IamAnishinaabe builds economic opportunities that serve as engines of sustainability for the Native community. Through collaborative relationships, we cultivate dynamic spaces that foster connections where models, photographers, filmmakers, staging crews, and musicians showcase their talents and lasting networks on and off the runway. By coaching models and fashion designers in the essential skills of self-presentation, personal growth, and professionalism, we aim to instill confidence that transcends the stage and impacts every aspect of life.

Our work emphasizes relationship-building—within our Native communities and beyond. We support Native creatives through education, mentorship, and strategic partnerships that enable them to establish lasting careers while uplifting the entire community.

We also educate and inspire non-Native people to join the celebration of the diverse and vibrant art of Indigenous communities. We teach everyone - regardless of background - to appreciate Indigenous fashion arts in a way that is respectful and joyful.

By blending traditional Indigenous knowledge with modern artistic techniques, we celebrate the resilience, creativity, and brilliance of our people, ensuring that our artistry is not only seen but deeply valued by the world. Together, we build the confidence, teamwork, and economic sustainability that will continue to empower future generations.
